Lakshmi movie makers have got the rights of Jagan Mohini from Vittalacharyas. N.K Viswanathan identified Namitha as heroine for the remake movie. With the availability of graphics and many gimmicks, the film could be brought out to suit the taste of modern filmgoers.
According to director Viswanathan Jagan Mohini is just an inspiration for the film. By incorporating several interesting sequences, including underwater sequences in Andaman, they are trying to make a wholesome.
