SPYDER - Review

Year : 2017, September

Director : AR Murugadoss
Genre : Action - Thriller

SPYDER, a much awaited movie but it seems that the audience did not appreciate it as expected. There were many places where the director should have been sensible.

Ideas from Hollywood:
The Villan’s character has been inspired from the movies ‘Perfume’ and ‘The Dark Night’
The Villain has been kept alive as the police senses his future plans on a destructive act on public – ideas taken from ‘Face-off’, where a bomb will be planted and only the villan knows about it.

Unrealistic Ideas:
I have not seen any south Indian family women climbing on a house, a lamp post, etc. They even think twice to climb on a ladder. But the story and screenplay says, the family women can climb houses like spider-women. Can you believe this? How could you expect this from AR Murugadoss..

Music:
Harris Jeyaraj did a fair job in the background but not in the songs. It did not sound like what you expect from Harris...

Cinematography:
The only one thing which is flawless was the cinematography.

It is very clear that Tamil film industry currently is running out of good story lines, which is the lifeline of any movie. Is it time to pack the bags back home????? - is the question from the audience to each film maker.
